Not long ago, Leah Borski was a work at home mom transcribing medical documents to earn additional income for her family. Today, she is a nutrition and fitness powerhouse building a business around her passion for cooking and caring for the health of her family.
With the birth of her first child, Leah began searching for ways to make healthful, simple and inexpensive foods to incorporate into her family’s menu. Now, 150-plus recipes later, Leah has a website and soon-to-be-published cookbook that will change your life, just as it has hers.
The Family Table Cookbook is a valuable resource that takes the challenge out of feeding your multi-stage family by offering tips and recipes that cut fat and sugar, utilize whole grains and lean protein, and include specific adaptations to accommodate all ages including variations for picky eaters. You’ll find base sauces and purees that transform from baby food to complete home-cooked meal with just a few steps. Leah also offers time saving techniques like batch cooking. With just a few ingredients and a few minutes of your time, you can prepare the foundation of a week’s worth of meals to store in the freezer until you need it. The batch method is a lifesaving system for busy families.
Leah is working hard to polish The Family Table Cookbook, but there are some things she just can’t wait to share with you because she is so passionate about helping other families. One spin-off project from The Family Table Cookbook has already been released in e-book format and is available on Amazon, and more are in the works.

I have personally tried some of Leah’s recipes and they are truly time-saving and tasty, not to mention adaptable. The directions were easy to follow and she included tips on how to make the preparation easier and faster. I am not a creative cook, but with her recipes I get moments of inspiration and develop meals my whole family loves from my 18 month old to my 4 year old to my husband. Success! I read her new e-book “Eat to Beat Stress” and I am looking forward to adding her suggestions to my family’s meals and incorporating things like flaxseed into our foods more often.
I also took part in one of Leah’s fitness challenges. She was an excellent leader who took time to recognize the efforts of all the participants and made helpful suggestions for how we could fit more activity into our day and better benefit from what we were currently doing. I’ll definitely sign up with Leah for another round. She’s a fantastic motivator. – Heidi
